Mickey Party Planning

For peace of mind, begin planning your bowling party six to eight weeks in advance. Start by choosing a location for your party. You can throw your Mickey Party or Minnie Party at home (and we'll give you lots of great ideas for decorations), or you can consider a local park, community center, or children’s restaurant (such as Chuck E. Cheese).

Once you've decided on a location, it's time to gather all the supplies that you need, including Mickey Mouse party decorations, gifts, and menu items. Planning ahead also gives your guests time to RSVP and make travel plans, if needed. Don't panic if you find yourself short on time; you can still plan a great party! Planning ahead simply reduces the risk of conflicts with guests' plans and may increase your party’s attendance.

Mickey and Minnie Mouse Birthday Party Invitations

What better way to get in the party spirit than with homemade Mickey Mouse party invitations? Here are some creative ideas for making them:

  • Cut the shape of Mickey Mouse’s head out of black construction paper (big circle face with two circular ears on top). In silver pen, write the birthday child’s name on the left ear and “is turning [age]!” on the right ear. Write the party details on the main part of the cut-out.
  • Print out a picture of Mickey, Minnie, and friends and paste it to the bottom of a section of cardstock. Write the party details above the picture. Run a glue stick around the outside of the paper and sprinkle with red glitter.
  • Take a picture of the birthday boy or girl in mouse ears. Fold a piece of cardstock in half and paste the picture on top, on the right side. In the white space on the left side, write “Become a Part of Mickey’s Clubhouse at [child’s name]’s Birthday Party!" Write the party details inside and decorate with Mickey & Minnie stickers.
  • Attach a card-style invitation to a pair of mouse ears and ask your guests to wear them to the party.
  • Include creative wording for your party details, such as:

    Meeska, Mooska, Mickey Mouse,
Come to [child’s name]’s Birthday Clubhouse!
With games and food and cake galore,
It’s true there’s lots of fun in store!

Or, if you're short on time, purchase personalized or pre-printed Mickey Mouse party invitations.

Mickey Clubhouse Party Supplies and Favors

If you plan to use paper tableware and Mickey Mouse Club party supplies, our Suggested Party Supply List may be quite helpful. Please note that you may not need everything on the list; it is intended only as a guide.

In addition to the basic party supplies (paper tableware, a tablecloth, streamers, and balloons) you may also want to consider renting or purchasing the following for your Mickey Mouse or Minnie Mouse clubhouse party:

  • Mickey Mouse Ears
  • Several pairs of white gloves
  • Mickey Airwalker Balloons
  • A Mickey Mouse Movie (i.e. “Mickey, Donald, Goofy: The Three Musketeers,” “Classic Cartoon Favorites: Starring Mickey,” or “Classic Cartoon Favorites: Best Pals Mickey & Pluto”)

Send your Mickey Mouse party guests home happy with some fun-filled goodie bags. Fill them with Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse party favors, such as a Mickey or Minnie DVD or a stuffed Mickey or Minnie doll.
