Girls Only Party

We all know girls just wanna have fun - here’s their chance at the Girls Only Party. They can make psychedelic hair with long lengths of colored embroidery thread, go on a jewelry hunt to find beads or hair clips and have a hula hoop "head off". Plus, set up a beauty salon where girls can do each others hair and make-up - perfect if you have a mix of ages, the older girls can help make-up the younger girls.

For crafts, try making edible jewelry from licorice strings, round candies and cereal. Flower bookmarks are also a nice take-home (you will need to buy or press flowers before the party). Or, teach the girls how to make Victorian Fans. Easier yet, have them paint already-made fans.

To set the Grils Only Party theme, fill the party area up with tissue-paper flowers. You may also want to make flower or heart-shaped tea biscuits and sandwiches (use cookie cutters to get the shape). Pink sandwiches and punch are fun too!
